  2. Actually the whole chassis of my Lotus Elise was glued together - and it was one of the stiffest car chassis ever made, that's why they handle so well. But as you say - it was designed and built by competent people. ironically the plastic cover over the washer fluid cap was screwed on with 3 x 40mm M4 bolts LOL
