  1. Im just glad he got on with it. It drives me mad when podcasters spend 20 minutes thanking the guest and having a personal chat before they get to the subject they were brought on to talk about.

  2. Im 54, Ive traveled independently in 55 countries, 3 years of my life was enough for a 100k word book to be written about, but I don't want to talk about me. The most impressive people I have met on my travels the true "Alpha males" if there is such a thing, they were the quietest, most considerate, politest, most intelligent, educated people you could imagine. We were being held at a boarder crossing in Senegal, we had been there about 28 hours, we had paid massive bribes but they still would not let us leave and it was looking dodgy. This one guy, about 5-7 tall told us all to have the cars running when he came back. He walked into the office of the head guy we had bribed, a guy with an AK47 on his desk and when he walked out he had all our bribe money and more. We left at speed and got out of the country. I have no idea how he got the money back + interest, but Im guessing the guy didn't go home that night. This guy was one of the mildest people you could ever meet.

  3.  @ShouttyCatt  There is one podcast I really like called "Were not so different" about medieval history. Its GREAT - but the chit chat intro can be anywhere between 2 mins and 35 mins. I have ONE dog walk to listen to it, and very often the whole walk is spent trying to skip forward on my headphones to find the start of the ACTUAL podcast. Just put the chapters in the description PLEASE.

  9.  @joferguson5396  Hi - I actually did this. When it came time to settle down - when the money had run out LOL - I wrote a list of the countries and worked out the pro's and cons of each and the best one for ME was Bulgaria and I now live in the city of Burgas Bulgaria. If you look it up the is a pier in the water in the shape of a T and I am just as the left hand side of that next to the beach. The biggest thing for me was they still have a very strong sense of community. My apartment building has 86 families in it and I know every single one of them. We have very busy thriving high streets, property is very affordable, they are on the upward side of the economic cycle so tomorrow is better than today, 300 days of sunshine a year, great beaches, very high speed internet - I can go on, but all round it was my favourite place.
