Here in Bulgaria when the UK was having its first massive wave we had 20 cases a day or 14 - cos the Govt had locked down HARD and very quickly. We were doing great. THEN we had an election, and it did not result in a government, so things started getting done in a very similar way. No one was properly in charge, late decisions and it all went totally tits up. The difference strong leadership makes in a crisis is astonishing. Even if its evil and corrupt - thats better than weak.
