  1. In about 2014 I owned a £6 million company. I tried all sorts of being nice to employees. Things that were counterproductive - paying double the going salary for the job. People saved up money and set up in competitions or went travelling, etc. Things that worked - shorter working week - cos it was internet sopping it had to be 5 days a week getting the orders out - but they came in at 10am and left when the work was done - usually about 4.00pm Turns out people are more motivated by not working than extra money, And I dont mean that as an insult.
