  4. PEOPLE NEED TO READ UP on the history of RAAC - it was unpopular due to it being sh!t and banned in the UK in 1982. THEN the Thatcher government overrode that and allowed it again in 1985 so that the new private contractors could build public buildings super cheap and profitably - BUT they would have a very finite life, 30 years and they start to suffer unexpected catastrophic failure. BUT Thatcher would be long dead then so that was someone else's problem. YES RAAC was used in the 60's and 70's but generally in small panels - not the 3m to 6m lengths used in the 80's and 90's
