I believe the dog is a spaniel - as a spaniel owner if the ball is in the river - the dog is in the river. Keeping a spaniel out of water is a hard task.

In the case of the 4 murdered students in the USA the police got horrific flack for constantly having "no leads" and then out of the blue they arrested and charged a guy. Not ALL police incompetence is police incompetence, just most of it.

@DonnaDyble Mine is 13 now - she is still a loon. She was dumped on me by an ex girlfriend and its been a hard 12 years wiht her - a hunting springer spaniel in an apartment - 5 walks a day - but I am terrified of her going, I dont know how I will cope...
