  2. Odessa is built on top of 2,500 km of catacombs - dissuaded salt mines I believe - that can provide both safety for the population from bombing and hiding / transport network for the militery. Odessa is one of the hardest cities to take in the world...

  3.  @suzyrottencrotch5132  - well - its day 41 of the war. Its year 9 of the troubles in the Donbas region 300 KM to the NE of them. Odesa is the single most important port on the black sea coast of Ukraine... So if they DONT - well they kinda deserve everything they get; cos I would have been stockpiling food and water for weeks if not months. I would also have rigged up some underground power grid that didn't rely on the city supply, but as it is a part they can have dragged massive electrical generators of the ships or even just run power lines to ships. so I think the answer to your question is DOH YEAH...
