I live in ex-communist Bulgaria now. Every year I become more of a communist as I see what is happening in the west, and I talk to people about what it was like under communism. I also realise more and more that the place is so nice, not by accident, by design - design of a society that is designed to make life nice for the people who live in it. Quick example - 40% of the cities are green spaces, cos that nice for people, nearly all the thousands of trees are fruit trees, cos that provides fresh fruit for people, the schools and hospitals etc are distributed throughout the city - it costs more but no one lives more than a 15-minute walk from the kids school to their doctor... 85% of people here own their own home with NO mortgage - imagine that??? And 50% own a second house in a village - bummer that communism... Giving everyone free houses. And guess what? We don't have any homeless people.

@daggers101 - NOPE, I can assure you that there is a very real and very FUNDAMENTAL different for the lives of 80% of a society under communism and capitalism. It may or may not be the difference that you think, but it is very very different in a very very real way. No one under communism ever has to worry about paying a mortgage. No one under communism ever has to worry about being homeless No one under communism ever has to worry about not having food No one under communism ever has to worry about being evicted for not paying the rent No one under communism ever has to worry about health care costs No one under communism every has to worry about student debt These are not "labels", these are very real world differences to the lives of real people like you and me. [yes there are down sides as well - and they are very real...]

@christiantretter4605 - I have travelled in 53 countries, including the USA and lived on 3 different continents and after all that I chose to live in Bulgaria. The USA was not in the top 10, it was in the bottom 10 on my list. And when I moved here - BTW - I was a screaming capitalist with a multi million $ Amazon business. So that's is my position on things. Can I ask you which other countries you have lived in to make that judgement that the USA is run very well and is the best country in the world?

@christiantretter4605 - BTW - Im not laughing AT YOU. I am laughing at what you said - there is a difference.
