  5.  Andrea Thomas  -They are not hieroglyphics, they are emojis. And it does mean something, it signals the infantilisation of language and thought. A cogent thought is no longer required, just emoji, emoji, emoji. Children use emojis as they have not yet developed the depth of thought nor the patience to construct a reasoned argument. It's a reflexive, emotional response, not a cerebral response. Appropriate, I may say, for a 13-year-old... You have written 3 comments in reply and you have failed, so far, to make a single point.
