THIS IS WHY I AM AN ENVIRONMENTAL COMMUNIST I now live in an ex-communist country - my 1962 steam iron needed a new cable the connector broke - I walked 400 yards to the store and bought A NEW CABLE with the correct connector It is a lie that everything the communist made was crap - it was not - it was meant to last forever and it hardly ever changed so it LOOKED old fashioned, but it worked and lasted.
