The rental on the units she has, has just gone up 40% thing year 40% THIS YEAR ALONE

The people I know here are now at the point where their lives are better than a lot of the people I know in the UK. And if you take worry and stress into it - ALL the people I know here have better lives than the people I know in the UK. And the people I know are just ordinary workers. When I moved here 13 years ago we had horses and carts on dirt roads, we now have $1.3 million electric busses on glass smooth roads with city-wide free wifi, hundreds of parks and playgrounds for the kids, the city are insulating all the apartment blocks, new shops are opening on the high streets every week... And ALL I hear from the UK from the people I know, from the news is 100% BAD NEWS NEGATIVE. Everyone in the UK is totally depressed...

England has NEVER gotten over the loss of the empire, it seeps through our veins, only lanced by emigration and not to an enclave of Little England in Spain. It is utterly tragic to observe from afar. The desperation to still feel part of something special is as obvious to outsiders as a fresh dog sh!t in your living room, and about as appealing... Its a desperation so strong they voted for Brexit - economic doom but the chance to feel like the big boy again for a few fleeting moments before they die. Like a drug addict committing suicide with a known overdose, unable to face the reality of the world they inhabit - but determined to go out on one last high…
