@Grim-HEX - Yeah - does not mean that. That is why it is badly named cos it does NOT mean taking money away from law enforcement... It means stopping having the ordinary police officers on the street dealing with literally EVERYTHING. It means putting in specialist teams to deal with different problems, so drug addicts are dealt with by a specialist drug team. Mental health emergencies are dealt with by a specialist mental health team. This is why knowing what you are talking about it important and not just jumping to assumptions that "defund the police" means defunding the police... It actually means increasing the budget over all.

@Grim-HEX - But dont beat yourself up for not knowing. Most Americans don't know either. And the GOP and right-wing media prefer to spread lies and scare people than tell the truth and the left are stupid for using such a dumb term. Sadly only 1 in 100 people ever bother to check anything before they talk about it as if they know everything...

@Grim-HEX - They are not my politicians. Im an author in Europe writing about the collapse of American civilisation. The irony is the whole "defund the police" thing is designed to address the issue of untrained police in the field who only know how to shoot someone or body slam them... The entire country is a colossal mess.
