@YeeLeeHaw We certainly did in the 1970's and 80's. I now live in an Eastern European county that is modernising without "Aemricanisnig" and that is great to see.

@whyplaypiano2844 Well the problem is all revolutions that are successful are carried out by psychopaths, they are the last people you should put in charge AFTER the revolution. Then you have the fact that rich people don't just accept the outcome of the revolution - they try for decades to undo it. THENyo have the fact that the other countries don't like the revolution as it might spread - so they try to destroy it - and America finally did in the 1990's So its really really hard for a revolution of the PEOPLE not to be an authoritarian sh!t show But living now in an ex communist country the thing that strikes me is they REALLY WERE trying to build a utopia - no matter how badly they failed, they tried. The only thing capitalism tries is to exploit the worker to the max to make the rich as rich as possible.
