The studios are also doing lots of really nasty tricks now - Disney paid an actress who played the mother of the lead in a major movie $500, the minor roles in large movies you are now kinda expected to work essentially for free in the hope of it leading to bigger parts in the future. The amount of money allowed to get to set at unsociable times of day has not gone up since 1968. So what used to pay for a taxi now has young female actresses getting multiple busses at 3am. They used to pay for auditions, but now you have to do a demo video and pay for that, if you are a single dancer but will be performing in a group you have to send in a video of you dancing the part in a group - so YOU have to cover the cost of the other say 5 dancers. It no just the salary - the general environment is incredible sh!tty
