As a European, I simply can NOT believe how you guys elect such UNBELIEVABLY OLD politicians. My god, what do they represent at 85??? Lets get this in perspective - Feinstein is old enough to have watched the HINDENBURG zeppelin airship explode... Not old enough to remember WW2 - old enough to remember when the Nazis were the good guys sending airships to America. And she is expected to decide on the future of AI, Deep Fakes, Tic Tok - GET REAL.

@Liber8d - Yeah. I mean I'm NOT being rude to old people for the sake of being rude to old people, but at 85 what do you have to say that is relevant to the problems of 15 year olds today?? I mean your biggest problem was rickets and theirs is body dysmorphia and self loathing due to filters. You CAN NOT understand what its like to be a 15 your old girl who hates her body when you are a person who grew up with carbon filament lamps, long wave radio, helping your mother hand wash clothes on a washboard. Im 52 and I CANT understand the issues of Gen Z. I know they CANT afford a house, but I don't know what it FEELS like to know you will never be able to afford a house?? These rich old people are SO FAR removed from the lives of the ordinary 20, 30 year old today. Keep the good ones on as sage, wise advisors, but for the love of god stop letting them make decisions...

@Liber8d - I wrote this the other week: GEN Z America and the UK will collapse; I am sorry to say. But they will be rebuilt and in a better and more equitable and more sustainable way. Im an author on psychology and the collapse of civilisations. Gen Z are an astonishing generation; they are more creative than even the 60's generation. They are more organised than any generation in history. They have no more love of technology than they do a paintbrush or a wrench, they have little interest in consumerism. They know its THEIR literal future on the line and they are prepared to fight. They have grown up in terror of their own futures and they WILL leave a better one for their kids. The world Gen Z build will be an amazing one.

@pl1532 -I honestly dont know, cos its not in our nature to generally elect really old people. I think America elects old people cos it is such a young country. I think there is a national insecurity deep down and that is balanced by having the country in older safer hands. In Europe we feel more assured that the country will be here in 100 years, it does not seem as fragile to us as America does to Americans - this is my opinion. So we feel safer electing younger politicians with more progressive and sometimes stupid ideas [Brexit]

YES - that was the good part of his presidency. The beginning part was mired with trickle-down economic's lies and cutting the education budget by nearly 50% in order to breed the idiots who now vote for Trump [this was a deliberate policy to breed idiots to vote Republican]

@jamesmarsh9888 - Reagan was the worst thing that ever happened to your country - he was the person that instigated all the changes that caused you to collapse...!!! This is the list of contributing factors to societal collapse: Plague / disease Y Environmental change Y Massive wealth inequality Y Loss of the administrative class Y The government stops governing Y Attack from the outside - now includes cyber attack Y Loss of faith in the political system Y Economic collapse Y Exposed obvious corruption Y Crumbling infrastructure Y Mismanagement of a crisis Y Societal division Y Loss of belief in the unity of the society Y Restriction of international trade / loss of trade agreements Y Increased isolationism Y Rising internal violence Y Excessive spending on military / arms race Y Inability to maintain the currency - hoarding / devaluation / hyper inflation Y If a majority of things on the list happen to a civilisation simultaneously, it is invariably the end for that civilisation. If all happen at the same time, it's guaranteed to be the end. The USSR collapsed with 9 out of the 18. America scores 18/18. And you have reached "cascading interconnected systems failure" - everything is broken and everything you need to fix it is also broken. Look at each of these [excluding pandemic obvioulsy] and trace their origins back to their causation - its Reagan's policies, followed up by Bil Clinton's policies but he only built on the Reagan's groundwork.
