@pige0nmelk - Move to Eastern Europe - life here is great - 300 days of sunshine, my rent on a beach front apartment is $150 a month. We have close-knit societies where the community looks after the children. No one used child care - the old people look after the kids if you work. Most families only one parent works. You get 2 YEARS of family leave here in Bulgaria is you have a child. Sure on paper, it is a poor country, but its relative. You can buy a villa with pool here for $50k. Most people grow their own vegetables even if they live in an apartment block they usually have a summer house in a village - cos you know - Evil communism.

CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU YOU REJECT THE PREMISE THAT GUNS ARE IN ANY WAY SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE You excommunicate anyone you know who has a gun. As a SOCIETY and an individual, you say "I WILL NOT BEa FRIEDS with anyone who has a gun" because You cant have a gun, claim to be a “responsible gun owner” and not be complicit in the deaths of these children In the same way you cant own a blood diamond and not be complicit in child slavery. You cant own Nike sneakers made in a sweatshop in Indonesia and not be complicit in exploitation. If you are not actively fighting against an injustice as huge as the mass killing of children in America with guns, you are complicit in the killings. If you have a gun and claim to be a “responsible gun owner” you are NORMALISING the existence of guns in people's hands in America and that allows the situation to continue. And because it is SO normalised to you in America, you don't see this. Guns are an antisocial dangerous f-uk you to society and owning one [except for hunting] is an a-hole thing to do. Guns are like fascism. If you are not actively fighting fascism you are complicit in letting it take over the country. When a problem reaches a certain magnitude - passivity becomes participation in the problem.
