@scott1637 I can assure you it is not. As a European Im quite pleased Trump won, I want the EU to abandon the US and pivot to the future in the East. But is is most definitely NOT a free country. You will be oppressed just like the people you dislike. He has no use for you now, he has power and can not "win" another election.

Not as much as you think - its no 1998 the US hardly matters globally now. Just the English language press makes it feel that way. Go look at global news - its hardly even mentioned they had an election. In China a pig running a woman over was a bigger stlory

YES - the promise of "MORE NEOLIBERALISM" was not enough to motivate people to get out an vote - 40 years of neoliberalism making people's lives worse every decade has come to the point where NO ONE will vote for it. And a LOT of people will vote against it. Dont worry - I said categorically Trump will not win, ive done the maths. But you cant do maths on people who dont turn up to vote. This is a SOCIETAL SHIFT its the end of neoliberalism.
