THE THING PEOPLE GET WRONG about Trump supporters is thinking they support Trump. They don't, they are SUPPORTING THEMSELVES. They see his terrible behaviour and they love it cos they DO IT. They know he is lying and they approve cos THEY LIE. He is scum, they are scum - it's symbiotic. Trump gave them PERMISISSION to feel GOOD about themselves for the FIRST time in their lives and they give him power in return.
