I WROTE THIS TO A FRIEND TODAY - I THINK YOU ARE GIVING MAGA SUPPORTERS FAR TOO MUCH CREDIT they are driven by racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, and a perceived loss of white status way more than any legitimate lack of trust in the system. Any lack of trust in the system they have is that the system is now allowing black people, women, gay people and maybe next it allows trans people into positions of power over them. They dont trust the system cos the system was supposed to keep THEM in a position of power over the rest of society.
