I lived on a 32' yacht on the cote d’azu for a while - I moved to Plavas and then finally Cap De Agde on the canal de midi. honestly, the cote d’azu is way shittier than the stock photos make it look. Its mostly 1960's concrete apartment blocks. The canal de midi ia WAY nicer - and its free morning.

  2. @Adf HI - I did the 7 lock one - but I think there are bigger ones, I think that's the 2nd largest. I also did the long tunnels - about 6km and 4km. I sailed from the Uk to Calais - then the industrial canals south with the mast down, then a couple of central canals across to the Rohn river, down the Rohn including the 1000m long 100m deep locks there - they were freaky. Then into the Camargue - to the posh bits on the coast where the morning fees were insanity and the place was mostly a dump if you were not in the Billionaires playground parts... Then I crossed the Etang De Thau with all the flamingoes and to Cap De Agde on the canal de midi and I floated up and down there for a bit - that was just exquisite. I lived onboard in that area for about 2 to 3 years and then the money ran out and I had to go back to the UK and earn a living 😞 Happy days, id love to live on water again - really really loved it, I live by the sea now but Id rather live ON it.
