ITS NOT QUIET QUITTING its doing the work you are paid to do... Where I live the concept of answering work emails after work is f-uked up. In any nearby countries, it is illegal for your boss to send you them.

Why Traffic Is So Bad In Los Angeles? Because you made it un-walkable, un-bikeable, and encouraged everyone to buy cars with massively subsidised Gas costs [$12 a gallon in the UK now] Then you built 16 lane highways and made everything drive through, the public transport is sh!t to none existent - and you are surprised people use their cars for EVERYTHING.

AT ROLLS ROYCE they GROW those blades as a single crystal of titanium - this is why its a LONG process

I 100% agree with you. Im an author and recently wrote an entire chapter on this. Keep your car very well maintained at a good service place, pay the main dealer. And keep it for 300,000 miles. ALL modern cars will do 300k miles.

IN MY EU COUNTRY the vast majority are buried. No fires, looks nicer, lower EMI Also, all ours are in conduit - a bundle of like 6 conduits that run from access point to access point - so you can run other telecoms and fibre optic etc AND you can repair stuff without having to dig the road up.
15
YOU SHOULD NEVER buy anything with a credit card - they are a con designed to pray on you.
14
Sadly China just stopped the export to the US of the minerals you need and you have no other supplier. So in 3 months, it will still be worth $100

I moved from a village in the UK to a communist-era apartment block in Bulgaria, I have never felt MORE like I live in a traditional village than here. They may LOOK grim but they are SO well designed and arranged - within 200m of my apartment I have everything I need for day to day life from doctors to greengrocers and butchers, the schools, a medical centre, the bus stops to the centre of the city, playgrounds for the kids a small meadow and a small supermarket, The old people look after the kids and their is LIFE - I know every single person within 500m of this block because its a little community.
13
BECAUSE YOU ARE BUILDING MASSIVE HOMES FOR WEALTHY PEOPLE you want to solve the housing crisis make a law that developers have to build 3 x 900 sq ft starter homes for every 1 x 2,800 sq ft or above home OR 1 X multi-family unit for every 5 x 2,800 sq ft units
8
WHY...? cos they need to make line go up and they have run out of things that actually make peo[les lives better so they are turning to "I can make your employees disappear" Just like Generative Ai this will never actually BE a thing that works, it just needs to keep the shareholders happy and the line going UP - for now. Hopefully when it stops and the bubble bursts someone else will be CEO.

This was my comment: DO YOU GUYS NOT HAVE FIBRE...??? I live in Bulgaria - I have 500Mbps Fibre internet for $5 a month - we have had fibre nationally for over 10 years this is BULGARIA the poorest country in the EU
7
I LIVE IN BULGARIA NOW in an old commi block - EVERYTHING I need for daily life can be had within 200m of my apartment - I don't even have a refrigerator...!! I just buy what I want to eat fresh that day. It is SO liberating to live right next to shops and services. I can get my shoes repaired, see a doctor, buy vegetables, a book, art supplies, dog food. After moving here my car sat for 3 years until it would not run and I gave it away. There is a bus every 7 minutes to the city centre. It is the nicest place I have ever lived. OH and the roads are multi use - cars dont have the right of way, we do have pavements but may people just walk in the road
6
@jankaufmann4305 Where the heck do you live? - I am in Europe in a mixed use zone and its AMAZING. I have NEVER heard anyone else ever complain about living in one
6
@nicoleonlysometimes824 NO actually its a huge issue that leads to many men suffering terribly because not only is there no help for them - society literally frowns on them asking for help. Im an author on the psychology of narcissistic abuse - just as many men suffer abuse as women, now go look at how many help books there are for men and how many for women??? A huge number of people literally think that only MEN are narcissists. My sister's friend [male] used to suffer terrible physical abuse from his wife, when he got divorced the first question everyone asked him when he said he devoured her cos she was abusive was "what did you do" i.e. what did YOU do to cause it.

@Zero11235 We have the advantage that nearly all the infrastructure was put in under the communist governments pre-1992 - where the lifetime cost was all that mattered. Much of the city is covered with 1m x 1.5m underground "tunnels" that contain everything, the city heating system, the gas, the telecoms, the electricity. We still benefit every day from that investment 60 years ago.
5
I AM SO PLEASED I LIVE IN THE EU the people that run this seem to understand that INFRASTRUCTURE is everything... We have new roads, new power UHVDC power lines, new bridged - admittedly the new gas pipes are not empty, they did screw that up. But at least they BUILT them...
4
@mssha1980 Your Zoning laws make for utterly HORRIBLE car dependent suburbs - dystopian h3lsc4pes of millions of massive 2 car garages with a house tacked on the back corner
4
And Trump has eaten half the bit of paper
3
@garymail4393 HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH of course I have - I'm an author on psychology and the collapse of civilisations. Its useless. EDIT - Its that BAD It spurred me on to buy a manual typewriter to further improve me writing, cos I realised the human element was so much more important than I ever thought - THATS HOW BAD ID IS. It makes SLOP nothing more
3
NO - NOT EVEN CLOSE your power grid is 50 to 100 years old with no maintenance due to privatization and obsession with profits - it can't handle hot or cold weather You have almost no HVDC lines and I don't think you have ANY UHVDC lines - your power grid was built for the 1950's
3
@felixmoyoedonmi - I'm allergic to the carrier solvent in inoculations, I cant have flue jabs either.
3

3
@antronx7 We have amazing public transport that costs 60 US cents per day - you dont, we have high speed rail - you dont, we have brand new glass smooth highways - you dont. HOW exactly do we have a transport problem...???
3

I just buy what I want to eat fresh that day. It is SO liberating to live right next to shops and services. EDIT: And yes - if you live in an environment like this - you live outside a lot, with people talking to people and its great for your mental health

WHY DO YOU LIE TO YOUR POPULATION LIKE THIS...??? the French utterly despise Am3ic4n fast food STOP trying to make out that people LIKE Am3ric4 - they do not
2

BECAUSE ITS BY DESIGN the USA uses extreme poverty to control the masses of workers - to make them too sh!t scared to ask for a raise of question the boss cos HOMELESSNESS
2
YOU SPEND 40 YEARS TELLING EVERYONE THAT THEY ARE SPECIAL that they are important,. they are unique, they can be and have anything they want... And you are surprised it has worked out badly for you as a society???
2
THIS IS TOTAL BULLSH!T I lived in France for years - they H4T3 fast food with a passion and especially Am3ric4n fast food...!!! Why do you gaslight your population like this - that other cultures LOVE Am3ric4n things - THEY DONT...!!! At best, they tolerate them cos they are forced upon them by corporations. In my city the 3 McD's have gone BUST...!!! STOP THIS LYING PROPAGANDA The French of all nations H4T3 Am3ric4n fast food...
2
@charlisdad4460 Sorry I'm European. Am3ric4n suburbs are my literal definition of a h3llsc4pe. Endless acres of identical houses to the horizon with no footpaths and NO amenities. I walk 10,000 steps a day just living my normal life walking around to the shops I need, the places I need to go. Ive walked to the pet shop, the ATM at the bank, the bakers, the butchers, the mini supermarket, and done 3 dog walks today. I cant IMAGINE not being able to walk for daily necessities. I live in Burgas Bulgaria - feel free to look it up. "I can imagine the suburbs look great to someone trying to get out of Brownsville, Brooklyn and other similar areas". well in that case put some money into redeveloping these areas cos they should be great places to live
2
CHINA HAS ALREADY SURPASSED THE US they had 17 minutes of stable fusion last month AND FRANCE has 22 minutes 2 weeks ago. Am3ric4 - its over guys. You were arguing about immigrants eating pets whilst the rest of the world was building the future
2
I tailor my own clothes cos that's my hobby - but I know a lot of people who only buy second hand because the quality is better. If a garment is still fit for sale after it has been worn - its quality.
2
@Linusrox123 I live in one in Bulgaria - Its amazing I love it.
2
@jbbuzzable So dum6 so astonishingly dum6
2
@brexitgreens I replied in full - but it looks like it was deleted.
2
THEY ARE AVOIDING A KET FACTOR scarcity We are seeing localised shortages of foods around the world due to crop failures because of climate change. Olive oil, coffee, chocolate are all under shortage at the moment. Grains are in short supply and as its an international commodity market - YOU in Am3ric4 might have a lot of grain - but the price is HIGH cos there is a GLOBAL shortage. THE ERA OF ABUNDANCE AND CHEEP FOOD IS OVER - GET USED TO IT...!!! My sister used to work for the world bank advising on this. ---->>> Its going to get a LOT worse...!!!
2
Sadly China just stopped the export to the US of the minerals you need and you have no other supplier. So nice factory - no chips.
2
Ive seen them, though this was pre-pandemic. There are about 95 incidents involving US air passengers for every 1 EU passenger. But you have to be careful drawing conclusions as the two aviation authorities have different criteria for recording incidents.
2
100% My sister's kid has severe ADHD. Give him a hammer and tell him to go smash rocks for the hardcore they need and 4 hours later he is WAY more manageable.
2
IN MY EU COUNTRY the vast majority are buried. No fires, looks nicer, lower EMI You take it for granted until you see the tram lines and think how ugly they look. Then you realise that everywhere in my home country of the UK is strewn with power lines.
2
@felixmoyoedonmi I HAVE LONG COVID its life-destroying - I used to run 5 miles a day with my dog and go to the gym 6 days a week - not I walk with a stick and can't clean my apartment... Ive not had a "jab" you f-king wanker
2
@felixmoyoedonmi - So why did you advise me to get it..??? What kind of twisted person are you?
2

YES - MANY THINGS THE SOVIETS BUILT WERE BETTER THAN WHAT THE U5A BUILT Stop believing your own BS propaganda You are confusing shiny, new and disposable with good and / or quality. Many things the Soviets made are now very highly sought after as they are the best ever made. Teflon capacitors that cost $100 to $600 each for example.
2
But it's a false economy. You are buying total crap that needs throwing away in a few months. My oldest daily wear jacket was made in 1973, I'm not saying everyone should wear vintage. But people should be aware things that are cheap cost way more in the long run. Low-income people are trapped in poverty by the things they are forced to buy.
2
@k4piii And what about the person who had to work for 50 cents an hour in unsafe conditions to provide you with those T Shirts at $4..??? Or the villages with no water cos the corporation is industrially extracting it to water the cotton plants? Literally, dozens of people had to suffer in the supply chain so you "couldn't be happier" with your $4 T shirts
2
@MichaelChengSanJose - AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH dude that is normal in like 70% of the world and the average car age in the US is 13...!!! why do you believe the bullsh!t your government puts out. I live in a standard comi block in the former USSR - one of my neighbours has a Bentley, one has a Maybach S650, one a Range rover and most people are not here at the weekend cos they go to their house in the country for the weekend. Sure some people have 15 year old cars - but the average car age in the US is 13...!!! Almost none of my neighbour's cars are that old. And this is a working-class block - not in the posh part of the city.
