  1. NO - NOT EVEN CLOSE your power grid is 50 to 100 years old with no maintenance due to privatization and obsession with profits - it can't handle hot or cold weather You have almost no HVDC lines and I don't think you have ANY UHVDC lines - your power grid was built for the 1950's
