I'm a rando European with no special interest in Am3ric4 beyond the impacts of Trump on the world. I know more about Am3ric4n history, politics and the political structures of Am3ric4 than 70% of Americans. I reguallay have to teach Am3ric4ns on YT comments about their own history.

My sister went to florida last year. The girl on the checkout - about 20 years old - could not count to $100 in $5 notes. The guy in front wanted $100 cashback in $5's. After about 10 goes my sister counted it for her. They stopped educating their population in 1983. This is the story as to why they did it: In the late 1970's and early 80's computers became a thing and you could process lots of statistical data for the first time. And the political parties did... The data showed the GOP they would be demographic-ed out of existence in a couple of decades. It also showed the GOP that stup!d badly educated people - amazingly - voted for them. Voted AGAINST their own interests, as blue-collar workers and for the GOP. So the GOP started to breed their own supporters. They systematically defunded education - in 1976 education was 5.7% of GDP. In 1983 it was 3.4% Some of the specific changes they made were to STOP teaching critical thinking skills, skills that ALLOW people to spot a lie. And it was wildly successful. Am3ric4 now has an uneducated subclass of 35% id!ots and it is enough to swing elections.

If you want the ultimate personification of the problem - most of my comments in this thread have been deleted because I am educated on the subject of civilisation collapse, I write books on it, so I have factually corrected peoples misconceptions in this thread. And they were deleted - because you cant have Am3ric4ns learning facts.

It is over for you and there is no coming back. The Brits can undo the mistake of Brexit - you can not undo the mistake of trump because it has triggered an unspoable chain reaction of collapse. In 10 years, you will not be a super power, you will not be a global economic force, you will not be a democracy. Many things in this world are untrue, but nothing is as untrue as "we’re holding up like champs" What you should be doing is starting a business making window and door bars - cos they will be the biggest growth industry over the next 5 years.

@chashue6032 NO - what you are seeing in England is a country that is 40 years further down the path of empire collapse than you are, the population is vastly better educated than the Am3ric4n population, but the ralities of being an ex empire can not be prevented. You cant run a system built on the profits of empire on the profits of a small island. You will discover this in the next 20 years - you cant run the US on the profits of the US, you skilled off a % of every single financial transaction on EARTH with the $USD - its 5% cheaper to buy peer to peer in BRICS cos you are not using US banks USD$ and US commodity exchanges. You literally cant run factories cos you don't have the educated people - TSMC staff desperately want to go home, but they cant cos you cant find the US people to replace them.
