  1. IM A BESPOKE TAILOR of mens historical suits [1890 - 1940] and a guy I know wanted to start manufacturing high-quality traditional menswear again, as he used to in the 70's. He ended up going to China NOT for "cheap labour", but because it was the only place he could find the skills and the enthusiasm to use them, companies willing to make 20 of this 20 of that, 200 of the other. The idea that China only makes VAST quantities of dirt-cheap stuff is completely wrong.

  3.  @CyrusJanssen  This guy is shipping English cloth to China to have English suits made, because we don't have the skills anymore in the West. We closed the factories and told those people they were now useless, so they retired and took their skills with them and we lost them
