  1. I had a friend, an intelligent woman, who genuinely thought she was talking to Mohammed bin Salman online. He was going to fund her charity. I tried to convince her it was a scam. Eventually she said he was sending the money when just had to do some stuff first and I said "let me guess you just have t pay a few thousand in transfer fees to initiate the transaction or something similar... ITS A SCAM" She said "YES" and I never heard from her again, presumably she was too embarrassed to face me. But I was so shocked, this woman was not an idiot. Very far from it, she was a well educated woman who had run a business, I have pondered many times over how she got sucked in.

  2. Im a professional author. My issue is I can see how unbelievably carefully scripted they are to drive a narrative and an emotional response. On the one hand, this is professional, on the other, it kinda smacks of an underlying agenda in everything. I constantly feel like I'm being sold something expensive I don't need...

THE ANSWER IS WAY MORE SIMPLE and way more terrifying than you imagine - THE UK IS COMPLEATLY AND UTTERLY BANKRUPT The UK has entirely financialised its economy - no one makes any money from doing anything or making anything - its 100% extraction. Everything has been sold off and run down and every possible £1 has been extracted from EVERYTHING. The UK need to spend £4 TRILLION over the next 10 years - budget £0.00p. Its the Post Neoliberalism phase of Capitalism - D-E-A-T-H.

Im an author, I have travelled and lived in many ex-communist countries and I have interviewed hundreds of people about life under communism for a book I am writing. I literally NEVER get the description you have given here from people who liv in those countries. Sure they have bad stories, not everyone liked it. But the story YOU tell is the ex-pats story. When interviewing people, you have to adhere to very strict principles, interviewing only people who speak English will MASSIVELY distort the stories you collect.

My advice >>> Never argue with a right-wing / fascist you lose 100% of the time cos they literally DONT CARE. It's not a belief system - it's a personality. We idolise the people who make things commercially successful - I cant decide if they are geniuses or parasites... Tim Bernes Lee GAVE the usable internet to the world - the world wide web - for FREE for the benefit of humanity. If he just took 1 penny per user per day he would be making £18.3 billion a year in royalties and be by far the richest person on the planet.
