  1. They didnt "move" as in the way a car moves. The SPACE expanded. So imagine a car on a rubber road, it drives away from you at 30mph, but someone is stretching the rubber road at 70mph - the car is getting away from you now at 100mph. BUT you are driving away from the car on your bit of rubber road at 30mph and another person is pulling your half of the road at 100mph so the other car is doing 30mph but you are travelling apart at 200mph... Thats how things GET so far away. As for how they formed, they are just early galaxies - or were. They no longer exist. they exploded and collapsed and stuff a long time ago.

  3. Because you dont want things moving in the vacuum of space due to a phenomenon called vacuum welding. With no air to act as a barrier - solid parts have a habit of just fusing into a single object. They literally just spontaneously weld themselves together
