  2. I live in Bulgaria now. I am unbelievably lucky that I live 200m from an "artisanal" coffee shop - they roast their own beans and have about 25 varieties - but being Bulgaria 1lb of beans is about $3 to $4. They will grind them for you to your requirements and going to buy coffee is one of my weekly treats.
