Its the kids that pay the inheritance tax and they didnt work a day in their lives to pay for the house they are inheriting - they just got born. And its £325,000 PER CHILD and only 4% of people ever pay a penny. And they you only pay on the EXCESS over £325k. So if your house is worth £700k and you have 2 kids they each get £325k TAX FREE and then BOO HOO have to pay tax on £25K at 40% = £6,250 IS your house worth £700,000 - do you think your kids can live with paying £6k tax and receiving £344,000???? You people - if you didnt listen to the Daily Express or the Telegraph you might know what you were talking about.
