I MOVED INTO AN APARTMENT with a German OKO washing machine from the 1970's installed - its THE BEST WASHING MACHINE IVE EVER HAD It has big paddles inside that properly beat the clothing and force the water THROUGH the clothes - this requires quality engineering as it induces loads in the system and that's not a thing we do today - quality engineering. It washed towels to brilliant white in 35 minutes using 1/3rd the washing powder of a modern machine. I'm pleased to say in a cupboard is a full seal kit for this machine so hopefully it will last another 10 years.
