He specifically mentioned Pakman’s claim that Palestinian charities “fund Hamas” and Pakman dodged by saying “I don’t remember if I said that” He also didn’t engage with the argument about Zionism, he just made up a strawman. @Hubin12 Right to return and abolishing settlements requires abolishing Israel and forming a new state/government that includes Palestinians. The state of Israel is a settler colonial project which only has a goal of expanding its colonial ethno state.

@donteme-r2g He thinks any money that goes to Hamas in any way is bad, even though Hamas is the functional government of Gaza. So any charity that gives supplies to a hospital is “funding Hamas” because the hospitals are govt. run. It’s a pretty pathetic and kind of racist argument that basically accuses any Palestinian who interacts with the government in Gaza of being a terrorist.

He’s also lied and claimed that Hamas bombed its own hospital earlier this month with 0 credible evidence, and then hasn’t reported on any of Israel’s multiple attacks on hospitals/refugee camps since then.

David hasn’t condemned Israel for their ongoing genocide, the most critical thing he has ever said is “I don’t support Netanyahu” which is a meaningless statement, because Israel has been mass murdering Palestinians before Netanyahu and will continue after. He doesn’t say a word about condemning the ongoing genocide of Palestinians, the mass murder of children, the attacks on hospitals, the attacks on refugee camps, or the genocidal rhetoric of everyone at every level of the Israeli government, including the “left wing” parties in Israel which David apparently supports. I don’t care why David supports genocide, the point is Vaush is correct.

And “likely guilty of war crimes”?? lol they’re killing 150 children per day and attacking every hospital, school and refugee camp in northern Gaza. It’s beyond “likely guilty” it’s a genocide. Why did David only report on that specific hospital bombing, from a pro Israeli angle, and try to blame the bombing on Hamas based on 0 credible evidence when that claim was widely disputed? There’s been multiple analyses disproving the Israeli story and suggesting Israel lie. He jumped to conclusions and blamed Hamas with no evidence because he supports Israel, and then he was silent about every single attack on hospitals and refugees carried out by Israel since then.

@Hubin12 Thanks for a perfect example. South Africa DID have nukes, they abolished their nuclear program when apartheid ended. Also, ending apartheid required ABOLISHING the racist South African government and drafting a new constitution which allowed a black South African majority government. So why don’t you support a similar solution in Israel? It would be extremely easy to abolish Israel the same way as apartheid South Africa, all it would require is the U.S. to stop protecting Israel from international pressure and Israel would stop existing within a year. The only way a tiny settler colony of 10 million people is able to continuously steal land and attack other countries with no repercussions is because of the U.S.

He’s accused Palestinian charities that give medical supplies to hospitals of “funding Hamas” because Hamas runs the hospitals. Saying “Israel has a right to exist” is a far right talking point used by Israelis to justify their stealing land and colonialism. David is saying he thinks the Israeli state has a right to keep all of the territory they’ve stole up to this point since 1948, and keep out Palestinians from their homes by continuing to exist as an ethno state. That’s what happens when “Israel exists” as it does today.

David denies Israel is an apartheid state, he is completely silent on Israel mass murdering children and refugees, he just vaguely says “violence is bad” without ever specifically condemning Israel’s actions. He never says why Israel as a state has a “right to exist” he just states it as if that’s a fact everyone has to accept (which is what Zionism is). David in the past has openly supported sending American police to train with Israel on “counterterrorism” I don’t even like Vaush, he’s just objectively correct about David’s stances on Israel.
