@murderalphabetinc.5162 “public defamation” is what causes the damage, so once that is proven (which is doubtful because the bar is extremely high) the damage would be something like lost wages from a job you lost or “mental anguish” which isn’t going to be that much money at all. Most lawyers would not take that case because the rewards wouldn’t even be worth the legal fees. So yeah this is pretty much a guaranteed loss for Karen.

Lol Nah good luck, it doesn’t matter if they say allegedly or not, you have to prove they knowingly lied about you on purpose and caused material damage, then you can sue for the amount of that material damage.

@Bara7187 it’s hilarious that you think your job can’t fire you tomorrow if they wanted to

“Defended innocent people from him” You mean the guy who choked a black homeless guy to death on the subway because he thought he was annoying?
2
@Hobinator17 Notice how when black man claims to have the bike first that’s “thug behavior” but white women snatching black man’s phone isn’t “thug behavior”? Hmm interesting, it’s almost like you don’t care about the actual crimes and just hate black people.

@terryt2728 Lawsuit for what? Your employer can suspend you for whatever they want, whether you committed a crime or not.

@chrisbammer4946 Name an example of a successful defamation case similar to this

@peterz22thomas5 the same nick sandman who has his lawsuit dismissed by federal judges?
1
@Bara7187 hmm and yet no defamation lawsuits were successful in either of those cases Hmm curious

@chrisbammer4946 A successful defamation suit

@Bara7187 I like how when you can’t think of an insult you just start randomly insulting black people lmao
1
@Bara7187 let me guess you went to the right wing YouTube video school of law?
1
@trevorguthrie3054 Lol what? Sullivan V NY times limited defamation lawsuits and made it even harder for public officials to sue for defamation (which was already difficult). Dread Scott? The 1800s court case where the court ruled black peoples weren’t citizens with rights? Wtf does that have to do with anything? That’s probably your favorite Supreme Court decision lmao

@Ta2dwitetrash Nope, she was suspended pending investigation, not fired, and her job can fire her for pretty much whatever reason they want, whether she committed a crime or not.
1
@Bara7187 Her job didn’t fire her, and if they did, it wouldn’t matter, because she can be fired for her behavior regardless of whether she committed a crime or not.

@Bara7187 Nope, a company can fire you for pretty much any reason they want as long as it’s not over race/disability. It’s completely legal for your employer to see a video of you online doing something they don’t like and fire you for it, even if you don’t think you did anything wrong and didn’t break any laws. You don’t have any labor protections in America, you can thank capitalism and right wingers for that btw.
