  1. With our capabilities we cannot even figure out the exact number of possible positions after 14 moves. After 10 moves(5 moves from white, 5 moves from black) the exact figure calculates to 69,352,859,712,417. Assuming for a moment this guys computer has not crashed yet and is calculating up to 40 moves, the figure would be estimated to be 10^120. Compare that to the number of atoms in the known universe, or 10^82... you would not have to suspend your beliefs to conclude the program is still running.
