Wait, so you mean the times that I was forced to put on a paper mask and gown to visit family members in the hospital- who did not even suffer from a contagious disease- and the only thing separating their room with the rest of the hospital was a door- actually did nothing to prevent infection? I would have never known that without reading it in a text book or hearing it from these fine folks. With that said, if in the event there is a bug going around I do not see how wearing a mask is bad..you don’t have to be a genius to figure out that a virus can most likely travel through a cloth easily, but it’s better than nothing. Imo The real reason they don’t want us wearing masks is not because of its inability to prevent contraction, but rather because we are less identifiable. They don’t appreciate that those with masks would refuse to remove it for store owners or whoever feels they can infringe on one’s right to keep themselves safe.
