@KinZZi you both are right
2
6:33 you skipped diffusor, where air slows down and stabilize before enters into combustion chamber
2
6:53 wrong, no increase in pressure, highest pressure is in diffusor, after that pressure is dropping otherwise you will have surge
2
8:56 older engines have that temperature, last 20-30 years on modern engines that is between 1200-1800C
2
5:50 wrong again, with 3 stages of axial compressor you can not get 70PSI, because 1 stage can gain only up to 20%, you should have 7-10 stages or centrifugal compressor
2
8:21 jet engine rpm is specified by speed of sound on compressor blades, smaller engine can have more rpm

@driverjamescopeland it is not matter are ground or aero turbine, you can not make turbine blade thick as brick with no cooling and think it can go on higher temps, it will melt down few minutes later in compare to thin blades, it is up to material that can hold temps with or without cooling, btw ground turbines are not made for thrust, so turbine must take all possible power from gas, on aircraft not, some energy must be left for propulsion

6:44 spark plugs are used only for starting up(and in bad weather conditions to prevent flame out)

15:02 you could have piston engine to propel something like fan on high altitude but for same power rating, jet engine is multiple times lighter, a400 has 4 turboprop engines with 10000hp each, how much would weight the lightest piston engine with same power?
1
@d4a it is not accurate engine model
1
9:41 wrong, primary air is used for beginning of combustion, secondary air is for optimization of air/fuel mixture to prevent too rich and to insulate combustor walls if high temps, and third zone is to finish combustion and insulation, and as much air is in 2. and 3. zones, as temperature is lower
1
6:15 compresso stall/surge is because air stream pitch over compressor blades is too high
1
hottest air is on higher altitude, that is why is up, not down , because is lighter, if you take 1 cubic meter of air from 12km in sealed syringe, on sea level it would have less volume and higher temperature than local air on sea level
1
@ehb403 on meteorology lesson, teacher confirm me that what i said, it is basic principle, lighter gas goes higher, so air must be warmer to go higher,
1
@gort8203 why that air would have less dense(what forces that air to have less dense in compare to air on sea level)
1
@NavyVet4955 you think that because you do not understand fluid thermodynamics, explain why that air has less dense(gravity is almost the same as on sea level, so what left?
1
@NavyVet4955 you are attempting to sound intelligent, mentioning it, ok, you have deep lake, where is warmer water, on bottom or near surface, , i am guessing you can not grasp how density changes by temperature😂

4:49 no, wrong, inlet guide vanes can not protect from any foreign object
1
@d4a no, no, energy of any sucked object will damage inlet guide vanes, if engine is bigger, inlet is bigger so it could suck brick , so if you will have cage strong enough to stop brick, it should be made from steel bars 1 inch thick, but brick would fall apart so again no use, my suggest to you to stay on topic you are good, jet engines are wide area and you should study it a little more 😀(mentour pilot channel in one video explained that if you do not believe me)😀

7:47 75% of turbine power is sending to compressor, so for thrust or free turbine is available 25%

nemoj ga baš hvatati za riječ, ima tu dosta polu netočnih stvari
