The UP has flat seats and rear drum brakes...hardly a GTI.

@jasongray2913 supportive seats in a car that is supposed to be sporty is necessary. Those seats have no side bolsters or anything. It also wouldn't of cost any more to of made it faster, as ford are getting 140 bhp out of their 1.0 EcoBoost engines.

@peterlewis3540 my friends 1.1 Hyundai i10 has front a rear disc brakes. Drum brakes are old tech, and used by companies to save money. Comparing a modern car to one from 1976 is a bit silly.

@jasongray2913 lol, I do like the car tbh, I just feel like vw where a bit stingy with equipment. I had an 05 corsa Sri 1.4 (I loved that car) and that had figure hugging seats, and 90bhp lol.
