Zillow overpaid for the houses in the first place, thats the problem. People were getting 50k+ over asking. Their algorithm was super busted.

I mean, the market is rarely ever in sync with the real economy.
21
Very misleading. Just because they are offloading houses that their algorithm was wrong about does not mean "Zillow Predicts Housing Market CRASH". Seriously you should feel bad for misleading people.

I love inflation. Reduces my debts, boosts my assets. Basically only pros.
5
Adjusted for inflation prices haven’t gone up that much. So it’s supported.
4
@StoicFinance I think inflation is much higher than that. Of course they don’t want people to think that so they severely understate it and redefine it all the time.
3
this is already true. you can get a model 3 for 35k and there are fast charging stations everywhere. Honestly its more convenient too, because you can just keep it charged at home.

oil has a limited supply, even if it is quite large.

I live in the USA, and literally have not noticed any of this

@cowtippin151 the batteries last 500k miles which for most drivers is 30-50 years worth of driving. The batteries cost 7k to replace. Seems pretty amazing to me. Why are you both in denial, and making up information???
2
@nahnahson my point is, they are affordable for the average joe even if it’s 50k
2
@bbitsme7971 a crash is always coming, that doesn’t mean it will happen soon. Zillows actions are primarily because their shitty algorithm failed them and they paid way over asking on most of their houses.

"The idea of artificial scarcity is awesome" man humanity is really at a new low.

@lamalien2276 I sure do, I just realize it’s dumb af

@guppy0112 Lol, yeah right. The market isnt predicting anything. its just a bunch of people pumping stocks. It has nothing to do with the future of anything.
1
@slowridefpv9668 they can swap the batteries, so no, it's not totaled. As I understand it, Tesla batteries last 30+ years.
1
@ChocolateEffigy nope
1
what it will lead to: expensive time consuming transactions. Yaaaaaay
1
@bbitsme7971 doesn’t matter. It’s a drop in the housing market bucket. But that is not even my critique. He is putting words in Zillow’s mouth.
