htmx is good even if you like javacript. Why wouldnt you want to just have less code to maintain?

Bro, JSdoc came out in 1999

bro, ts is not "type safety" its basically just a bit of intellisense. Actual type safety has to do with how variables are accessed at runtime. TS helps no one at run time.

@_modiX Nest in general seems like a better tool for basically any scenario than next. Next just has a lot of junior dev hype behind it for some reason.
2
@avfr next uses server side rendering, nest also can do that. That’s my point, why would you use next when nest does all that and more with better patterns??
2
why would you use firebase when you can use aws, google cloud, azure, or digital ocean?

Why are you using clips of an ultima online dragon

Most software is just plumbing a dozen or so technologies together to make a basic crud app. Most of the complexity comes from people reinventing the wheel over and over. The moment we automate this the jobs go away. And I can confirm there are several companies working to solve this.
1
@phoneywheeze it’s up to the person writing the code to determine much or how little to render. You get full control.

@avfr you can literally plug next into a nest server, what are you smoking
1
@avfr you can indeed make a spa with only nest
1
@avfr its very clear you dont know much about software, and so thats where I will leave this thread.

FYI you can horizontally scale a monolith. Vertical scaling refers to increasing RAM/Disc/CPU etc... But with a monolith you can still spin up more servers (horizontal). Even better you can do it based on the resource usage of your currently deployed servers.

Actually he’s pretty intermediate in his thinking within the industry

"tiny 210kb" lmao

You could have better performance, better seo, and cheaper operating cost by using rust backend which serves vanilla js. Like by a factor of 10.
1
I mean, its too much. Js is simple and easy, ts is complex and gives a false sense of security.

"typescript saves a ton of time". Yeah, ok buddy

WHy are you such a firebase shill?

Neon has promise if they can figure out how to shard

@ZipMapp how is it in issue? people can make reddit clones. The data and api belong to reddit, they should never have offered them for free in the first place.
1
@ZipMapp data access has nothing to do with source code bud
1
good, reddit should charge for use of their apis.
