You can do that without children. You don’t need to have children to make a mark in the world

@anthonybasile6079 if God decides to send me to hell for eternity for not having children, so be it. If a murderer or rapist can get into heaven by genuine repentance and someone who’s never done anything close to as heinous but doesnt believe goes to hell, what does that say? If merit has no value as far as you being a good person goes, why would someone believe? You don’t have to be religious to be a good person, common sense.

@anthonybasile6079 because since God is a part of the conversation now, I’m referring to the verse “be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth”. Don’t know what verse it is but to that verse I say nah I’m good on that. I will do my best to make the world a better place and make a difference but I’ll pass on having kids. That in and of itself is a sin so if I go to hell for not repenting for that, so be it. That’s the connection I was making. I never said I was good. It was a hypothetical but you have a point, who am I to judge someone being good? To that I say there are certain things we can all agree on that are right and wrong things to do. The black and white situations like it’s a good thing to provide for and protect your family or it’s a good thing to be there for and be sympathetic with your son/daughter when they’re having a rough time in life. Of course there’s always going to be a grey area which we cant come to an agreement on. Also, I don’t tell myself anything to make myself feel better. I live in reality and own up to the mistakes I make
