@bobjohnbowles My data are correct and not out of date, and I have no enthusiasm for Russia, just for Neutrality and peace! Nice greetings from neutral, peaceful Austria !

@bobjohnbowles Sure, Putin likes peaceful neutral countries as well as Soviet Union also liked Austrian neutrality and functioning as buffer-state between NATO and WarsawPact. Obviously Putin sees Austrian Neutrality as model for Ukraine.

@bobjohnbowles Austria is neutral since 1955, we got rid of 10 years foreign (Soviet, US, UK and F) occupation by commiting ourselves to Neutrality ! As to the time before WW2, the conservative Party in 1934 abolished Parliament which caused a civil war that year, conservatives won and ruled like dictators until H came and took Austria over. Politics 1934-38 in history books is called "Austrofascism"

@bobjohnbowles You said something wrong about 1938, and I corrected you that Austria was not neutral at that time. And everybody knows that Austria as part of Germany lost war and was occupied for 10 years bc of this. The interesting thing is that we got rid of occupiers bc of our Neutrality, which should be the model for Ukraine !

@bobjohnbowles As I said before, Austria during the whole time of Cold war was neutral buffer-state between NATO and Warsaw-Pact, our capital Vienna only 50km from the Iron curtain. Nevertheless we had no problems and lived in peace and prosperity. Ukrainian neutrality which means no CIAbases and no US military bases on Ukrainian territory, is all Putin always demanded and wants !
