  5. And normal shock is why airplane wings are angled backwards. It increases the critical mach number, the speed at which those normal shock waves begin. Really cool to see it applied to bullets!

  6. Yourself and minutephysics were two of the first science channels that really inspired to get involved in YouTube. Going further back Adam Savage and David Attenborough are probably my greatest influences. David Attenborough takes the cake though, that man inspires me to no end.

  8. My final year project for biomedical engineering was to design an alternative procedure for AV fistulas, which involved opening the wrist alter the flow of blood to allow dialysis. I wanted to do the procedure with catheters and use strong magnets to bring the vessels into contact, and then perform the procedure inside the body. Normal magnets obviously would be difficult, this may make it easier. Im going to thinking about applications for this all night.
