Also in a helicopter dipping right and down can feel like the opposite. It can push you into your seat for example instead of you falling towards the dip. Now imagine dense fog. Blinding dense fog and clouds. Flying fast. All 4 sides, top bottom, left, right, all surrounded by no resistance. Just air. Foggy air you can't see through. All it takes is a little disorientation.
