  3. Don't get why everyone is shitting on the detective, yes he's using an outdated technique but it's proven to work many times before. It's the casual "I can help you if you tell me the truth" tactic and you can see that it does have a slight bit affect on the suspect as he kind of took a step back and took his time somewhat contemplating. Though I agree it's not the best interrogation technique, most cases it's a necessity to get all up in personal space prove dominance and surround the person to get the truth out...but it's really not that shitty of a procedure getting the suspect to confess out of guilt or the delusion that there IS a way out.
