  1. I've read that the Japanese ran in fear from the Aussies. But they never ran from us Americans! What's happened to Australian manhood? And here's another question: My dad's two older brothers fought in New Guinea - came home and never said one single word about their experiences for all the rest of their lives. Totally mum! So we've all been left to wonder what in the world happened there. Can you clue me in?

  2. I got an online friend in Japan who represents a small pro-West faction there - mostly intellectuals - and they hate their country and wish us Americans had exterminated their race. I kid you not. They tend to speak perfect English - wish they could emigrate - and openly talk about WW2 atrocities with anguish and shame bordering on hysteria. So the thoughtful ones own it! But the rest just get on with life. It just is what it is - so why talk about it? Stuff happens. Move on.
