If VW can't be saved as a BIG company - it can always shrink down to a little rinky-dink boutique company like Morgan or Mitsuoka. It can limit itself to the iconic wagon and bug and make ends meet forever. It needn't die completely. Just downsize to what matters.

@MattyMoores Beats disappearing completely. Like when Studebaker discontinued the Avanti - they licensed some guys to keep making that model. Or consider how the Covini is made to order by one family in their garage. Those iconic VW models can live on at least like that - or better.

I agree. There are activist bureaucrats mandating that companies sabotage their own products. To root these activists out will take a reformer who's MUCH more serious than Trump even PRETENDS to be. It'll take a damn Franco.
