  4. Well why do you think they are hanging onto the past then? Maybe it's the fact that the present itself is run by the western Empire and that they don't have autonomy over their country especially with Western influences ruining their people and culture and ideals? Maybe it's the fact that the West has its military near their neighbours soil and that they don't want to be subservient to western hegemony here? Everyday people would rather prefer to have their culture and ideals intact and look for their preservation than it being erased from history for western convenience, self preservation is a human right which the West has continued to violate and force other countries into its culture and ideals
