@clogs4956 Sri Lanka follows the same western systems instead of adopting their own and such western systems which rely on complete privatisation and putting your country's resources in the hands of western owned corporations is what happens especially when the "free market" really is nothing but free and is owned by the western Empire

@Mrbfgray "jobs" more like just putting them under new management, "no slaves were used" what about those migrants in Dubai who were kept in inhospitable conditions or say even in Sri Lanka where corporations were called out for their unethical practices

@123blakes Sri Lanka and other smaller nations are sadly heading down the same road as Venezuela and other countries which themselves have their lands and wealth stolen by foreign powers and by their own corrupt leaders

Yeah it's all the governments fault right? As if private corporations in Sri Lanka which really are owed by the west aren't carrying out corrupt malpractices, it's really easy for westerners to blame governments while their leaders are colonialists who created these circumstances for their own self interests and westerners like you who enjoy all the cheap slave labour products from these countries

Agree, western Empire really never stopped their colonial ways and are indirectly carrying out colonialism via privatisation and having the people of those countries sell their own nation for the west and enjoy status given to them and settling down in western countries

Wish countries would seek their own self preservation and never rely on foreign superpowers who do nothing but steal their resources and still do so at the expense of the people of those countries who are supposed to fight back against foreign invasion whether its cultural, socio-economical or by militaristic means

@crypticTV there's really no improving the mines here westerner, what's stolen from the country can't be brought back out of nowhere and unless the country kicks off foreign interference from their lands they will be stuck like this for centuries, they barely have any money to afford basic equipment for their people let alone "bringing back the economy" via magic or some fantasy nonsense

@crypticTV most of the loans you mentioned can't be paid back by the local government especially when their leaders and corporations leave behind debts to their own people and settle down in your western countries where they have no jurisdiction against and even if the governments try still will take decades before they could ever come close to recovering their debts, the reality of the situation in Sri Lanka isn't taken into hand and westerners like to bring up positive statements with no proper proof

No more like westerners being delusional from forgetting the fact that their Empires had stolen a lot of natural wealth from Sri Lanka during the colonial times and never gave back what they stole and essentially put Sri Lanka resources in the hands of corrupt corporations which really are just owed by the west to squeeze out what remaining reserves they already have from a stolen nation and get settled down in your countries in the first place looting their own country for western convenience
