  1. people here talk about drugs being good or bad but are actually scientifically illiterate about things like these, they forget the fact that addiction to these drugs is something that often doesn't get addressed and many don't even know the composition of the product especially when taking the wrong product which usually is adulterated could be dangerous overall and people who aren't informed about drugs or have any knowledge of it should never be allowed to take stuff like this especially many don't even know the dosage limits or how much of it could be fatal, overall suggestion for people should be the fact that to try understand things instead of recklessly consume products and get addicted towards it especially when it's become the norm and culture nowadays to consume drugs and party and maybe not treat drugs as daily commodities like food and clothing where due to demand excessive production causes massive problems to the environment and allows predatory businesses to exploit on that trend which is happening with marijuana sadly, i mean really people in the past have taken serious drugs and survived especially when they know how much of it could mess up the body and how much of it is good enough not to get addicted, it's scary how people can't seem to understand that addiction to anything is the problem especially with alcohol or even excess food which people find as a way to quench themselves of the problems of the real world, i mean the so called blowback on drugs caused the war on drugs which their leaders justified interfering in foreign countries which people claim were supplying drugs but of course the results of the war on drugs is seen, instead of blaming drugs why not blame the culture or ideology that people still can't see is harming them, what's to say there won't be another drug which will pop up in the future and would be worse, why not go after the moneymakers and legal companies which allowed this mess to continue and lend money to cartels which are in turn just proxies for the government, it's sad how ignorant the people here are

  2. @J PETERMAN i mean I'm just surprised that people think that drugs are being treated as if they are food which we consume daily or something, i mean even alcohol in excess could cause cirrhosis and cancer yet people still continue to get addicted towards it, I'm not saying addiction isn't something that can be easily controlled but at least most people i see are barely aware how addicting various substances can be and usually are lone when trying exotic drugs or with friends who themselves are less literate about drugs, also the issue is the culture that's around which constantly tells people how drugs can be consumed without informing anything about the side effects, like LSD is explored as a good psychedelics but people never understand the fact that consuming any drug while in a bad mood could turn out into a nightmare, the point of drugs is to enhance the cognitive functions that includes memory and emotional thoughts which also releases dopamine as a factor, and people who are in depression often take drugs recklessly especially when they don't know which drugs they should take, LSD usually causes bad trips especially with people who suffered trauma in the past and people fall into that hole and get worse especially when people continue to focus on that bad trauma and are never able to escape, so knowledge is massively important especially when we are selectively smart but not well rounded in all aspects in modern society, we should be more scientifically literate on things like these especially when it allows people to explore new aspects of those drugs and help understand it's applications on all sectors of science and not just for personal consumption
