@nurainiarsad7395 agreed, really I say the great wars i.e ww1 & ww2 was the culmination of all the consequences of imperialism and colonization that the west continued to fuel for each of their Empire whether it was the Dutch or French or British, ww2 was already evident with how many colonial wars in Africa continued between German and British colonies and for territorial expansion and those wars crippled their Empires for those colonies to have a chance at decolonisation there are still some European colonies but for the most part aren't as active as in the past Now most of these countries are still in leverage by the US instead of Britain in the past as decolonisation still did lead to civil wars in various countries and installing governments in these countries still took time and for things to be stable, it also doesn't help the fact that many remnants of the British Empire were transferred onto the US especially with stock investments in Wall Street which many companies in Britain did during early 19th century overall western ideals and their monopoly never left the rest of the world sadly and the cold war had them take sides just like today where it never ended despite the Soviet Union collapse, the cold war never ended here and it's just continued with Russia and China which both have gained prominent positions after the brief period of defeat they faced

@Dean Clark well how will they be any of those countries especially when their partners Russia or China only looked for mutual benefit from each other, in fact which Europe actually benefitted more from Russia due to their oil production being at cheaper prices than what the US is offering, companies which were attenuated with Russia over decade long contracts were forced to suspend all their future potential supplies they were getting from Russia and many went bankrupt as to settle in the US here, the main Steel production supply of Czech republic was shut down due to those sanctions here and they are left bankrupt from these reckless sanctions, Russia could just move its supply lines to other customers from foreign countries instead of Europe and EU has chosen to dive into recklessness for the sake of its master US

@teeldd if westerners really felt like changing things they should have done it a long time ago where they had multiple chances to fix things but such people never tried to have an understanding towards others cultures and viewed them only as inferior to them shows how different they view themselves from others, even today westerners are still the same with that thinking and feel other cultures need to be corrected instead of trying to acknowledge their own flaws first which they don't even bother to do so

@casteretpollux well I do agree Europe is on a dead stop here with its progress, especially when backing away from major partners like Russia or China was economic suicide at best, unless the US does start heavily investing on EU which is unlikely, their future does look bleak unless they do something about it, I do believe the US has a lot of leverage over Asian especially with South Asian nations where many still have heavy influences over island nations socio-economically and culturally too ( I do think Japan and Australia have a huge part in it too) and global South too at some extent although things are changing but still would take time overall, the issue pertains with whether the global South and Asia will continue to remain under leverage by the west which they still have to a extent especially when the west has a strong way with propoganda and cultural influences like how it did with Europe

@etow8034 well those protests over 2 million people are the wrong ones especially when the real problems are being ignored like I mentioned in the previous comments, ask any of the protesters about the Ukraine war and pretty sure majority would still side with Ukraine here, the government itself is at a loss if it continues its reckless policies like this and the people i.e westerners are complicit in their own losses which they fail to acknowledge out of propoganda or their own selfishness

@etow8034 i understand where you are coming from but really there are these larger issues like the economic war which is affecting many others whether it's youths or old, and really people in France aren't willing to acknowledge any of the fact that their companies which they worked hard to build with the help of Russia is being brought down for the sake of propaganda, i didn't claim that people who are on retirement should suffer more but overall the opposite and everyone should benefit from it here, why treat people like cows in the first place especially when they are the same as the rest?

It is 500 years my guy especially with the crusaders who have been in power since the 15th century and slowly dominated the global powers with all the advancement they developed, European powers like the French or British or Dutch could have gone into wars with each other if not for colonial expansion which was seen as a better alternative than constant infightings between nations, but that too had it's limits which culminated into WW1 and WW2 over colonial outposts which had multiple factors as a catalyst of course

@loinaluks2251 well the first point is quite interesting, I did say there were other factors in the culmination of those great wars like the great depression which may have put a huge dent on the world economy at that time which may have put them into desperation but the fact of the matter was the pre conflicts that happened in multiple colonies in Africa and Asia were reaching a turning point,the West really puts this propaganda that Germany and the Axis powers are at fault but really the seeds of war were right there since the beginning, powers like Britain and France had to set aside differences they had from the colonial wars to ally against Germany which under the Kaiser had annexed a significant number of African colonies I do think WW2 was a failure by Germany to continue gaining back it's lost position and various colonies which they lost under pressure from the Allies and having all these facistic ideals which Germany strived for under an attempt similar to the British Empire, the elements of fascism was already present in the West especially with various political parties like the BUF lead by Oswald Mosley and many others who rallied up many labour unions across Britain giving promises to fix the damages caused by the Great Depression and for Britain to gain back it's power in world politics and sufficient control over it's colonies once the internal politics is taken care off, they also had multiple fundings from Nazi Germany and the Italian fascist block but knew such a system would still continue the power struggle they will have in the near future so the Parliament didn't take any risk against it especially with Germany's past with the Kaiser, really WW2 had many elements where things could have gone differently if not for these powers to expend themselves and their military into losing control over their colonial outposts, so you could say their greed for power lead to their own doom especially when it they would have cooperated at least have had their Empires intact even if under submission, i believe that Hitler's ideology is stemmed from resurrecting the previous Empire led by the previous Chancellor Kaiser Wilhelm II and building a Neo capitalist order which bases itself on ultranationalist ideals which they learnt from the consequences of the Industrial revolution, the rapid rise in technology especially with the cost did not resonate with the people who were forced under extreme work hours and their negative sentiments towards their oligarchs who didn't favor them anymore were used as a pretext for war I do agree Nazi Germany's invasion of Russia is certainly not well understood especially when Russia already had gone through with regime change and by the 1930s they already had established sufficient military power taken from the previous Tsar so I do say it was a bold and reckless move especially when the Allies already had been flanking them from the West, but what I seen throughout western interpretations of WW2 is really how much credit they would like to give to themselves for ending Hitler's reign but really the history of the Soviets who fought off against Nazi Germany in the eastern front is completely forgotten almost for western convenience, I do think these topics need to be discussed and understood well for those who are tainted by western culture and believe in extreme nationalist ideals

@os3984 about that first point about Russia not winning is so inaccurate here really, especially with how the war is still on stagnancy and the main objective of the special operation is still successful for the most part, the main tide depends upon whether if Ukraine has even more soldiers to spare and are literally recruiting child soldiers on the battlefield here and remaining women who are becoming more fodder on the field The part of Americanization is sadly been true throughout the world really and Finland is just another country which is on the newer lines like with Asian countries or Middle Eastern nations, even Russia and it's people are westernised to an extent regardless of them being against the West( I would argue China is probably one of the few countries to not become completely westernised and are changing things), the Nordic countries were just in the lines of many countries here like the Balkans in the 80-90s which have fallen to Americanization really About Russia I do not understand why Finns or Polish people still consider them as enemies despite the fact they were having better relations with the oil and natural gas industry, I do kinda understand with the past wars and all that history that many are still harboring that hatred but really putting your country on a economic suicide isn't in the interests of the current and even future generations and Finland especially your president who goes around in dance parties with multiple allegations of drugs involved doesn't seem well for Finland really, Finns had a better understanding from their Russian counterparts and Washington managed to ruin it for their conveniences here and many Finns probably will move to the US before their country has nothing to offer for them, look at Norway and how much of its gas supplies which are distributed for every NATO country instead for its own consumption and the environmental damages are probably going to be worse for Norway with the way they proceed

@etow8034 really I didn't get why the French people would have a huge protests for their oligarchs to increase the retirement ages while their country bombs multiple poorer nations and steals their wealth or the fact they have so much debt from the IMF and their relations with Russia or China which they have cut ties with could have helped their citizens from bankruptcy due to their companies being shut down and they who relied on a lot on cheap Russian gas now have to work as many times as they did in the past, why don't I see the French protest for those problems which are worse than retirement ages especially when with that much debt and bankruptcy around, French people have their priorities backwards really but I guess western arrogance never goes away

@liberaltears1714 well if you known some history between Ukraine and Russia you would know it's not just solely annexation as you westerners read in propagandised media, Ukraine was already a hotspot for the West to have control over Russian aerospace, not to mention the amount of former cold war weaponry Ukraine had inherited from the USSR and many of it being on the hands of the West would have been a huge risk for Russia and it also didn't help with how many people in Ukraine had developed facistic elements from the past and allied with Nazi Germany against Russia in WW2, even if Ukraine was annexed in the past by the Tsars the cultural and social relations that Ukrainians had with Russia wasn't something that can be abandoned here especially with how the far right in Ukraine tried to remove the Russian language in the Eastern regions of Donbass and had threatened any Ukrainians with Russian ethnicity in the past, it isn't just solely for annexation especially when the western media in the past reported on these incidents and took no action against it despite many outcrys, it isn't a real threat and is made to do so by the West which is obviously working like how it did with 9/11 and the cold war tactics which are still continued for western convenience Countries which are supposed to be defending their territories and had past cultural ties with countries which look to reunite due to outside interferences are being demonised for western convenience and called regimes, as if the West never was a regime in the first place where it has installed its multiple military bases in various corners around the world giving fellow superpowers no authority over their own airspace You talk about annexation done by foreign countries and make comparisons to the annexations done by the West, let me ask you a question here then, what cultural or borders ties does the US have with countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Yugoslavia, Vietnam, North Korea and various other nations which the West bombed and caused wanton destruction towards ? Yes it could be argued about the USSR as it in the past was considered a regime but is modern Russia or China be really considered in the same lines as the US or its western Allies here who have done discriminatory harm towards multiple nations In the end I say do I justify the invasion here ? @petervote7914 well you forget western dominances in various countries like Africa and America including central America too and not to mention South America of course where western dominances were seen with Americas with its native Americans which still took a lot of time with multiple wars for full conquest and South America with the Aztecs who lost their Empire to the Spanish and many tribes in Africa being extinguished by the British Empire and various other colonial powers for conquest, overall western Empire still was larger than the rest of the world here and their reign overall was for around 500 years and only in South Asia is where they struggled till they were successful against them too

@petervote7914 well you forget I mentioned the west as a whole including the colonial powers and not just the west as in anglo saxons here, that includes Spanish and Portuguese and Dutch or German too who had Empires around with Portuguese in South America in the 16th century and Britain both in the North America and Australia, Spanish in the central Americas and Africa was divided between various powers, even if you include Britain alone they would still have conquered North America and Australia both continents in the 16th-17th century and Britain only gained recognition for colonising India which it was well recognised for so the 500 years conquest is still true regardless and ignoring it isn't ideal here

@petervote7914 well it depends as I said so the west has more landmass than them combined but if you want to take diverse cultures and ecobiome then yes I do agree as the other Empires were well advanced as the west too, but if you want to refer to landmass alone then no sorry as Mughal Empire even if they were massive still didn't have an entire continent like Australia or America at hand here, Persia as they had the middle East and some African regions at control but the west still had middle and lower regions of Africa in control and same things with China since they already had a larger area too but didn't leave their land out from the great Wall of China towards the west and stuck towards the East for the most part, the Mughal Empire was not nearly as powerful as in the past times of Genghis Khan but there was Badur who was the king of Mughals who had a significant control over many regions of India and other parts of Eurasia, like I said people refer to 500 years as in including the rest of the continents not just those Empires of Persia, Mughal and Chinese which didn't expand beyond their regions in those timelines unlike the west which did in various regions across the world

@petervote7914 the west if you want to include the English even if they weren't as advanced as the Empires you mentioned still had taken control over other regions across the world but chose to not attack many of the Empires of Persia, Mughal and China till the mid 17th to 18th century when they were technologically advanced enough and you may argue the British lost America after the revolution but they still had Australia which was a significant landmass too, yes those regions were arid and Canada was still under the Crown but overall the landmass they had still was significant enough

@petervote7914 the west really started becoming technologically advanced around in the 17th century really in terms of naval power which they were really amazing at but lacked in the land department till they started trading with the Mughals and various other Empires like China or Persia and developed technologically to colonise them enough, I guess you refer to the world as in those Empires alone which isn't true but there were other places around the world which were mostly tribes which the west colonised and that is what is referred to here

@petervote7914 well like I said so the Mughals still didn't have nearly as much landmass and power as they had compared with Genghis Khan with the Mongol Empire and still only stuck near the regions of India and various other regions towards the west till Afghanistan, I'm talking about the west colonising as in how much landmass they had and how much control they had and even if it was half was still significantly larger than those Empires in terms of landmass alone, China, Persia or Mughals never advanced beyond their borders but developed themselves technologically enough and the reason maybe not known of why they didn't expand further, it was more like the west didn't advance enough till they were ready to start colonising and taking them down after which did take a significant amount of time, like I said so even if they did colonise half of Australia or America the land they had control of is still much larger than the Empires, i do argue if any of the Empires like Mughal or China or Persia mentioned started expansion then it would be a different case but its not

@petervote7914 the Portuguese and other colonial powers like Spain and Dutch still had started colonising South America in the 15th century too, so overall people refer to the west as in all the colonial powers which are currently still NATO too and not just the British Empire and the western Empires were the first to expand their colonies compared to other Empires which chose a recluse approach like China which had the Great Wall of China built from the times of the Mongol Empire
