  1.  @Nerwesta  well it is better to have a smaller number of people who can use sufficient resources and lavish lifestyle than having millions who all want the same lifestyle that the rich live, the modern European ideology is based on the fact that countries from third world have large numbers of population and all that numbers wouldn't be enough to sustain them for a long time especially when people will fight for resources, the issue with this thinking is the fact that European leaders can't admit the fact that this overpopulation issue was created by the rich in the first place and had been continuing for centuries especially when the poor desperate for money and better lifestyle breed as much as possible to have kids who could provide them the lifestyle they didn't get, its very common in South Asian countries and even if it is a positive thing about family sticking together it still is completely reliant on each other as if anything happening to the breadwinner will lead to all them in poverty and the cycle continues, this could all have been avoided in the 19th century especially when modern liberalism which is based on a scientific and socio-cultural understanding of things in the world compared to the old system of superiority complex among the elite started coming up and people from the colonist countries at least started having souls and remorse for their actions and started to better the lives of those they had ruined, but now there's an issue with how things have been going, similar to a person who has been wronged for many years who will want revenge which is understandable from a certain point of view, now countries will want the same thing against European countries and will go far as to harm the citizens of those respective countries to satiate their revenge which will just continue the cycle of who will come at the top and bottom, history throughout time has been around the fact that humans lived their lives without any proper understanding or care about the world they are living in, only recently we started progressing in proper understanding of the world around us compared to those days stuck with placebo effects like religion and other things which satiated ourselves and kept us from progressing further, modern times could be better and not a repeat of the old century ways which the few select are desperate to hold onto which wages war on those who are poor and steal from them, even in those old century there were kings who actually cared for the welfare of their citizens something that modern times doesn't look for even from a profitable business perspective, by having a better understanding to the people in poorer countries towards scientific and socio-cultural understanding and respecting their culture and bettering way of life is how you can prevent them from taking drastic measures like overpopulation which they had no choice to take especially even now poorer nations are forcibly breeding offsprings as a way to survive like in Russia where this war is escalating day by day

  2.  @MS-jz9ne  well really what can you a average citizen do infront of these elites? The reality is these people who are powerful will continue to be powerful just like the old days where people in the imperialistic era colonised many countries while the average citizen just were living their lives without any complaint as doing so will lead to them being persecuted or worse, it was similar thing in the US when slavery was present, people were indifferent during those times and information about things weren't provided to the average public as newspapers only reported on things which were within their country and not what happened to foreign nations, it's a similar case with the internet either confusing the people on what's information is right or wrong and misleading people onto obscurity for the elite interests, it will be hard for people to even learn about the truths of what history is accurate on those great wars with how people have many different interpretations of it and now elites take advantage of it with censorship and other things which doesn't look for any welfare of their citizens, the rich are just waging wars against the rich of other countries and like a big bully you need another big bully to stand upto them. And that's what is happening with China another country with power is on an equal foothold against the US and Russia is also gaining a foothold on the world too, they can either choose to look to take each other's resources and be at the top or bottom or all of them will be on top while their citizens will be in the bottom, eitherways someone will have to assume positions of the top and bottom and it's upto the person sitting at these positions who can decide whether they abuse their power against the people at the bottom or actually help them to stay in the middle

  5. The issue is even if these capitalists if they look from a business perspective don't really seem to understand that cheap labour will only cause people to fight back and more losses for them, instead of wasting time trying to wage wars they could easily invest or spearhead research on robotics and other technology which could have eliminated the need for humans to work under inhuman conditions, the situation that we are in like overpopulation and other wealth gap is only caused by the rich especially when the poor having no choice to survive will try to breed as much as possible hoping their offspring will lift them out of poverty and in some countries it eventually becomes their culture to breed as much as possible to stay alive similar to prey animals like rabbits or rodents which is understandable from a human perspective, similar to the situation China and other third world countries like India and other south asian countries were in, there's still poverty but significantly reduced than before, but the rich want people to go back to the same times as before without understanding that with scientific progress people from the poorer communities would come to an socio-cultural understanding and will have a better scientific approach on things and even revise their way of life as to prevent overpopulation, it's the same issues on African countries where a state technologically developed has better population control and resources management and things have progressed there quite well in these years, so unless the rich don't let go of their old century mentality of egoism which keeps them dependant on the same old system and culture which they continue to follow ( look at how fuel sources have remained the same since hundreds of years and other technological developments come from old century methods) we will still be stuck on this pointless squabbles between people who can't even see from a logical standpoint that everyone is dependent on each other on this planet and pissing off one side will only cause chaos, which from a business perspective as corporatism puts it is non profitable and reckless as losing your consumer base is the worst thing you will be doing

  8.  @majeedp8760  what you westerners don't seem to understand is countries want to preserve their culture and some do it at the expense of their own people which is exactly what foreign countries now which have technologically developed fear, at this point in time where we have conflicts with each other instead of looking at the bigger picture of who's in control and how they influence people towards infighting, I'm not saying Iranian culture should never change its Sharia law but still with current times I say it should be a gradual and natural change among the people who should look at other cultures and their negatives and try to choose the positives instead of abandoning their culture altogether, a cultural bond makes people stronger and gives them hope and this is something that western countries completely lack as they carry out controversial things which even if it harms them they still look for solace like prostitution, hypersexualization which has ruined western men and women i argue which never is brought up in western media as people come to accept such cultures as to prevent ending up in poverty, women nowadays in the western countries (not all women but the recent younger ones) sell themselves to people and even if they do have freedom which is another positives about the west still doesn't look the fact that economically they are suffering and don't have much choices other than compromises which the west graciously accepts and gives power to women who get radicalized with extremism without seeing the damages they cause to others , foreign countries see these issues and do not want the same radicalization (most muslim families i seen are usually very protective of their daughters especially the head of the family and never let any foreign influences near them, i agree it's a toxic form of protection which restricts their freedom) and both sides of the extreme right and left need to set aside their differences and look to change things and accept the various positive aspects which benefits the people instead of waging wars against each other, i do understand the frustrations of each respective cultures but you got to look from their perspective towards the culture that you westerners live and never question your own culture instead, it's overall better to change your own selves than look to change others who wouldn't be willing to change

  9. @TheDrewSaga  well that's the issue, think about generations of people in China or Russia who thought about how their country has gone down in poverty due to western policies which lead reckless corporate practices via proxies in Russia or China which admittedly is true (especially with how much iPhone factories in China created forced labour camps to drive workers to the point of suicide and the fact that it got so bad that they had to build nets around to prevent backlash) and thus now those generations of people who now despite living in censorship and state owned control  (which i do think i have one of the major issues with both countries and other nations trying to practice this, although it is argued that it is partially due to western ideology and corporatism trying to influence people to be against their nations just like how the National Endowment for Democracy NED did by influencing people against their nation which lead to corruption by elites in those countries also playing a main hand against their citizens which i think is another flaw of censorship which people argue against and i agree) they argue that they still have better lives than they did before the famine in China in the 70s although they do believe things could be way better, these are people from generations who even from their own elites were kept in poverty like in the case of India which people argued in the old century the elites never changed their doctrine against their own people, and thus in a desperate attempt to survive the poor breed as much as possible so their offspring can survive which these circumstances were created by the kings of those countries, times haven't changed now but the difference being now anyone can become a king within the modern political spectrum and those rich will be more likely to become king due to inheritance or other factors, and the revenge mentality i mentioned is due to the colonial control that there was there and the colonial powers had that mentality of conquering everyone instead of having control related to caste system like segregation in Africa, to the colonial mindset everyone in the nation is a slave and compared to the past century where it was race related now it's more about who has enough power and control over everyone regardless of differences, and that's why this revenge mentality is there for the poor who look at everyone who is rich as enemies or people who look to keep them under and a few poor do have the chance to be at the top with education which is something that in modern times has been a good hopeful way of making things better for people but also depends upon how that knowledge is used whether for good or bad, many people in these nations are still stuck to patriotism and hatred for the west which is understandable to say the least but also those who don't want to be part of any wars and only want to survive join in as to well survive hopefully finding any system which will let them live

  10. @TheDrewSaga well that's the issue, we have that ability and potential to understand that it wouldn't end well yet we still go with it as if we are the same as animals with the survival of the fittest and that mentality is surely going to get everyone killed especially with modern times we have created weapons which will wipe out countries off this Earth, and countries those who won't hesitate to use it like the west which is desperate to try to protect its Empire against foreign nations which had enough of their hegemony, we have past reached the point of this survivalist mentality at least the average person who doesn't want to live under the same culture which has them under crippling debt and any ideas or controversial topics they share in modern culture is censored and waged war against like the war on drugs or war on terror which ruined entire countries for the sake of money, the rich are still stuck in their old century mentality and created circumstances and adverse effects which led to people who were poor breeding more offsprings and trying to have cheap labour as much as possible but now it blew up on their faces especially when those poor are now provided access to education and resources by their respective countries who have their own motives, but whatever the case the rich now are desperate to hoard as much resources as possible (thus explains the wealth gap) as to have the people cannibalize themselves, similar situation in Iraq with the water crisis going on there, and other countries in the future will soon end up fighting for resources as much as possible, instead of the rich actually understanding the cultural and socio-economic problems of countries and for once letting go of their capitalist mentality and of this thinking of gaining profit and ending this cycle of exploitation and pointless militarization for wars, we are rather seeing them desperately trying suicidal ways as to further themselves in their egoism trying to prove a point to the world

  12.  @motherlandbot6837  well i didn't make comparisons between East Asian countries and the industrial revolution which was one of the worse times for the poor overall, East Asian countries progress overall is much better than compared to industrial revolution but still there were labour issues in China which is acknowledged by China overall especially during the 70s where devastating famines occurred and since then they have learnt from the mistakes that the west committed in the industrial revolution, they have even acknowledged those periods as the century of humiliation and since then drastically improved the lives of millions of Chinese people since the 2000s, labour laws were surely much better than in the 1900s but still a large amount of cracks followed even in that system which was largely controlled by the west, another example I'll make is the issue of slave labour of Indians in Dubai where they were given promises of better housing and welfare overall but stuck in poor living conditions and worse with crippling debt which piled up for the expenses to even enter the country, China since then has been self reliant and many of their companies are state owned instead of relying on foreign companies like Apple, Samsung and other tech companies and in other sectors they have done the same throughout, these are factors that needs to be acknowledged of the fact that most of these nations still were suffering from post colonial effects where power vacuums were filled by western proxies from those nations selected by the west and large numbers of corruption started continuing in those nations, China and Russia even acknowledge this in fact and they have improved things since then, if you think I'm just spreading western propaganda i can't help then, im overall sceptical on all nations and how they carry out their progress and their history without any biases, the fact of the matter is many of the nation's progress isn't without struggle and it is something that needs to be acknowledged and other factors like corruption needs to be brought up instead of having a subjective opinion and biases, the current system of these countries are something that needs to be acknowledged and how they approach on these matters whether it benefits the populace of those nations or exploited should be brought up, eg: i don't fully agree with China's system of censorship and surveillance even if it brings safety to the people with less crime and terrorism and also preventing western influences which are known to have its populace against the nation but with full control over the people who it is still seen as a demonising move by westerners who also are sceptical of their own country like the US which is famous for censorship too, Russia's approach on this war is something that is also seen as demonising by westerners even if it shows their western hypocrisy like with the Iraq invasion which they fully supported and many people who have a neutral stance on this like India or other nations like Hungary still do think this war could have been avoided if west stayed away from Ukraine and other Baltic states overall instead of Russia making compromising choices with the war and having no choice but to get dragged alongside to fight off NATO expansion and i also mentioned about Nicaragua's approach on censorship which you didn't fully read and even if their approach is to avoid small scale influences from the west which western countries have done in the past destabilizing nations by influencing them it will still be seen as a demonising move by the average person, every country in this world will have flaws and positives which needs to be addressed instead of having one sided arguments which in fact just gives proof for westerners to believe the countries as bad and more reason to recklessly pick the side waging war against other nations without having both sides perspectives and choosing the one which benefits them, i rather see people who would have criticism towards all sides and addressing their flaws and taking their positives into account too instead of one dimensional black and white biased thinking, in the end this is a battle between the rich and the average person dragged into these wars which some don't want to not have any part of and only want peace and to prevent any escalation into a nuclear war

  14.  @Milzan30  well if you look at it this way really the old colonial powers already had met a threshold to how much colonies they can colonize before they end up fighting amongst each other for land and power, and that is basically the great wars where countries were already looking to fight each other like Germany which in Africa already had multiple wars against the Dutch and the British Empire and in all that fighting amongst each other the remaining colonies had a chance of escaping the grip against colonial rule which they had a chance of launching a revolution, even before the colonial times countries like India or China still had rulers who oppressed their own people especially with the caste system in India which was notorious and still continues even today especially among the rich elites where the power vacuum left behind by the British Empire lead to the higher caste assuming the positions and thus the elites in India persecuted muslims in their country, i do agree that western countries should stay away from foreign countries especially when they have shown to have ulterior motives with how they conduct so called liberating operations with Syria or Iraq Afghanistan and endless amount of countries in the list, but the people of those nations should also be sceptical towards their leaders and how the power left behind by colonial powers could end up against the interests of the people in those countries, really even starting up a revolution involves some form of power which they do need to overthrow the monarchy they were against and mostly comes from the opposition side of the people that they are against like with the French revolution which despite rising up against the monarchy of Louis XVI only left behind a power vacuum of which lead to events like the Reign of Terror which caused even more deaths, so really the power vacuum issue is a real thing especially when in hands of people who can decide whether to improve the lives of the people, it's overall a cycle of who will come at the top and having scepticism towards anyone in control is something that needs to be there instead of just being one sided overall and not questioning anything about the policies our leaders commit to even if for good

  15.  @jihigh482  well it is not too late especially when people are still needed for the elite to carry out their imperialistic ways, something that the average person is either forced to work due to individualistic mentality as it is understandable to be selfish to survive, but the censorship carried by the western powers on their people is already kept people in a patriotic mentality so it will be tough times for sure and even if people do understand these problems they are in the worry of the fact of how foreign powers like Russia or China will manage the world power, whether in the same manner like the western imperialists did or a different approach altogether, it is hard for people to find out especially when they get sources of both approaches and although some approaches are made in response to fight against western powers it will still be seen as them being an aggressor like Nicaragua for example carrying out censorship against western disinformation which does influence people towards western interests but still seen as a dictatorship by the people due to the way that their own oligarchs carry out censorship and this being reminiscent of those times where free speech was being removed, people are stuck between whether to choose themselves as to survive in this world or for the sake of their nation it is a hard choice to make especially when people don't want their culture and way of life to be gone under the name of revenge and will be forced to fight back if pushed into a corner by the elite, individualistic mentality is something that is a moral question whether it's right to fight for your nation and worth sacrificing yourself for causes you may not fully understand or to be selfish for once and look out for your own survival as it is understandable, this is why modern generations have always been anti war as possible as they rather choose their own lives over others and understandably so as it is a moral choice overall and this lead to problems like these where people of higher power get leverage from these people, the way i see it unless those people who are individualistic come bind together instead of singling out and talk about this things which will lead to their voices never heard compared to a larger crowd, things aren't going to change for the world if this continues and eventual outcome will be nuclear escalation

  19.  @majeedp8760  well you are talking about regime change which at this point in time where nuclear escalation is at a all time high and yes i do know about Sharia law and all other middle Eastern countries are usually monotonous on that idealogy, but your approach of trading one demon for another which actually looks to erase your culture altogether isn't something that is ideal here, look at what happened to Iraq and with the pretext of Saddam Husseins regime the US government destabilized the entire country will millions dead and their culture permanently damaged especially with the US invasion of Iraq or Afghanistan is another example with culture clashes leading to the country now led by the Taliban which despite claims of giving equal rights is still following the same Sharia law, also foreign countries do not want western culture either as the culture clearly had multiple flaws and the scare of radical feminism also does not help them either but there are positives too but foreign countries can't risk suffering the same radicalization, and tell me is it really worth risking your country for another demon which basically looks to exploit your nation? Especially when the power vacuum left behind will just be filled by another dictatorship, whatever happened to the people and women in Iraq face is unfortunate but willing to gamble your nation for another corporatist is just as worse especially when you risk your culture being completely erased even the positives that Iranians wish to present to the world, culture clashes are something that will happen in history but modern times are geared towards resources more than culture and some really powerful people will do anything even erase their culture and every identity about them just to gain access to their resources, Syria is another example with how its oil is stolen by the US without any legal consequences and about Canada the times were as recent as the 90s and even still today the indigenous have the potential to face something similar especially with right wing groups and Nazism increasing in large numbers in Canada and other western countries so your quite naive on thinking your western friends will help them, whatever culture each respective countries carry doesn't mean their entire country should be at risk for war, i mean have you even seen how the US military treated Iraqis in the invasion? You are only fed sugarcoated versions of the events which probably will never be fully disclosed especially with the massive censorship that the west is notorious for, Iran faces persecution and any culture revisions are something that should be carried out by the people of that nation instead of foreign interference which the rest of the world has had enough especially when everyone at this point knows how that will end up for the nation being invaded, culture change comes from proper understanding and compromises between both sides instead of outright waging war against each other which does nothing but harm your culture and the younger generation which doesn't want anymore conflicts, you think it was fine for that 16yo kid to burn her hijab and only anger the old traditions which many still follow in Iran and instead of trying to have peaceful protests which does not involve cultural harm or use of weapons or anything which leads to both sides attacking each other, that kid was involved in something big and it's unfortunate extremism took over and many are angry at western interference in their culture, the point I'm trying to make is that we the average citizens don't get to choose between both leftist and right wing ideals correctly and either approach towards their extremes instead of trying to be in the middle and create a sufficient balance which benefits everyone regardless of sex, race or ethnicity, but now we are divided with identity politics by corporatism which only seeks for resources as to subjugate control over the people even if it means erasing their culture and way of life, we should have a pragmatic and emotional understanding of cultures and you can't just change a culture overnight it takes decades for people to come to terms of their traditions being challenged and they usually are afraid their entire culture will be at risk which isn't the case but they don't like to take risks, we should be more humanizing instead of having the same aggressive approach which only causes misery to families and children throughout generations
