@justice.freedom.mankind well it's not just ignorance it's also the fact that laziness comes into play and also fear too, people are stuck with this mentality where things are considered hopeless especially when they will believe another rich power will come in and control them, it's really a cycle of who will fill the power vacuum and it all depends upon the person in that vacuum and what they decide to do whether for the welfare of the world or ruination
